A detailed look at SIU’s first live scrimmage of the spring

DU QUOIN, Ill. — College teams are permitted three, live practices during spring ball, and the Salukis took advantage of their first live opportunity on Friday night, running approximately 60 scripted plays at Du Quoin High School.

Several veterans, such as quarterback DJ Williams, have little to prove, and were either held out or played limited reps. That allowed many of the younger players on the roster an opportunity to shine, and there were impressive performances across the board on offense and defense.
